Serious Miami foodporn ahead.

This is NOT a roundup of photos by others found online or a sponsored post. It’s also NOT meant to represent ALL of Miami. Started in 2016, this list is based on MY personal dining experience. I actually photographed, ate, and paid for every single dish listed. Perhaps you saw them posted on the blog, or on my Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram accounts at some point this year, and you will probably see them again in 2021. Some dishes seem to never leave my list and made a return appearance. I like what I like, #sorrynotsorry. Others are new, and made quite an impression.

We know what kind of year this has been. I won’t rehash it further. By now, I would have already released my Top Miami 2020 Restaurants list. Sadly, I decided to cancel it and, hopefully, bring it back next year. How can I choose and rank restaurants after all the hardships they have endured? Some, not even reopened yet and others gone altogether.

Instead, I chose to expand my annual Top 30 Bites list to 100. Do I even have that many memorable bites to feature? Turns out, I do! I wasn’t so sure at first, given the limited dining opportunities we’ve had. I tried my hardest to support as many restaurants as I could these last nine months. I love that it wasn’t easy, and that each photo brought back memories of each visit. You might notice that I experienced some of the highlighted bites as takeout…#because2020. Despite the bumpy road, Miami continued making this exercise tough on me by once again providing the best eats, EVEN in 2020. After much debate over which bites impacted me the most, I have finally committed to a solid 100.
