Remember back in 2014 when I started exploring Miami’s potential if we were ever added as one of the MICHELIN Guide’s destinations? Well, well, well, look how we’ve grown!

In a short press release this morning, the MICHELIN Guide announced it will finally begin an expansion this year by including restaurants in Greater Fort Lauderdale (say hellooooo MAASS), The Palm Beaches (perhaps KONRO?), and St. Pete-Clearwater. The more significant, unexpected, and thrilling news is that beginning in 2026, the Guide will become statewide. That’s right, from the Florida Keys and way north to where the sun still shines in Pensacola and Jacksonville, the star Gods might favor you too.

Dana Young, President and CEO of VISIT FLORIDA (and former TWP podcast guest), said, “The MICHELIN Guide’s expansion into three additional Florida destinations in 2025 and statewide in 2026
further cements the state as a premier culinary destination for both locals and visitors. Florida’s rich and diverse culinary scene has long been a cornerstone of the vacation experience, and we are thrilled that more talented chefs and exceptional restaurants across the state will now receive the recognition they deserve.”
