The results are officially in.
The 2026 Florida selection of the MICHELIN Guide has arrived, marking the state’s first fully digital reveal and the Guide’s first statewide Florida expansion. This year, the industry and food enthusiasts tuned in online instead.
Streaming live through the Guide’s official YouTube channel and once again hosted by Java Ingram, the reveal still preserved much of the visual identity tied to MICHELIN ceremonies: the signature red stage production and polished presentation style. With the existence of the MICHELIN Guide American South category already in place, it remains possible Florida could eventually be incorporated into a broader structure down the line. But for now, this feels like MICHELIN experimenting with how future announcement formats may evolve across multiple markets.
Still, regardless of format, anticipation surrounding this year’s results remained exceptionally high. Between statewide expansion, ongoing debates, and Florida’s rapidly growing culinary profile, the pressure surrounding restaurants across the state never felt louder.
For months, chefs, restaurateurs, diners, and industry insiders speculated on what the inspectors would reward, where the Guide might expand next, and whether Florida’s evolving dining scene would finally see meaningful movement at the top tiers. Now, we finally have answers.
Fans of The Whet Palette podcast were likely not surprised to see Emelina WPB, Mutra Miami and COTOA emerge as new winners.

And naturally, I’ll be back soon with additional commentary, deeper analysis, and my candid thoughts on the results. If you’ve followed my MICHELIN coverage long enough, you already know I never keep it surface level.
