Ember’s arrival, a concept unlike any already within the blazing Kilgore Culinary kingdom, features wood-fire everything…even lasagna.
The new hotter than hot arrival, drawn with a signature Kilgore touch where every inch is intentional, creative, and in its place, remains casual in spirit.
The decadent-all in-no apologies- comfort food menu is meant to be enjoyed as is. Don’t bother visiting if you are on a limited diet, or looking to request endless deletions/substitutions to dishes. Think Smoked Fried Chicken, Wood-Fired Lasagna, Escargot Chorizo Cassoulet, Mac & Cheese, Pimento Cheese Beignets, and a Maduro Cream Pie (si, platanos maduros with coquito ice cream. Faint). Chef Kilgore’s favorite? The mashed potatoes. Believe him: perfectly buttery and irresistible. I even prefer them to the other (famous) “potatoes” that recently arrived in town. Yes, I said it. IYKYK.
What I’ve tried:
“I want Ember to be known as an anytime restaurant that has a great neighborhood feel and vibe with dishes that we all know and love. The aroma of the grill and the smokers with the open kitchen cranking away delicious dishes.” Mission accomplished, chef. Let the sparks fly.
