At first glance, Touché seemed like yet another warehouse in a somewhat forgotten part of town. Once we drove around the back, we found the main parking area and the entrance to E11even Nightclub. To enter, we took the outside elevator (located to the left of the main E11even double doors.) Touché is located on the third floor of the nightclub’s building.
The elevator takes you right into the restaurant’s outdoor, tranquil oasis. The many different lounge seating areas are anchored by the main bar and remind me a lot of Juvia (without the spectacular views). Although one side of the restaurant only offers a glimpse of several Miami high rises, the rest of the windows just face adjacent warehouses. What Touché doesn’t offer in views, they make up for with beautiful decor and great food. Located behind the main bar and hidden from view, Touché boasts an understated, yet elegant decor. The dark wooden floor planks, white tablecloths, linen drapes, modern track lighting, and extremely comfortable linen chairs stand out as some of Touche’s best features. The open kitchen and ventilation system are also incredibly well done. While there, don’t be surprised if you see Top Chef Alumni Chef Carla Pellegrino in the kitchen keeping everything in order. She might come out at some point to say hello as well!
As long as the wine is not already listed on their menu, you can bring in your own and pay a $35 corkage fee. The menu’s Classica Cucina Italiana title is deceiving; they also offer items from their Sushi Bar.
Here are some highlights;
I’m looking forward to my next visit after they have had time to settle in. Beautiful space, good food, and attentive service. Will it be enough to stick around? Time will tell…
